We are foodies, big time! We absolutely LOVE food and we would not be living authentically if we tried to restrict you in any way or remove all your food related joy.

While all our recipes and meal plans offer real whole-food and calorie controlled suggestions, this will be far from restrictive or deprived eating.

In some cases you will be eating more than you’ve eaten in years, and you will feel more satisfied too. Throughout the weeks we will be shining a spotlight on some areas of your nutrition that you might not have realised are actually causing the most chaos.

In our reboot, if you follow our protocol, you can have flexibility around your food – enjoy eating out at restaurants and not feeling “locked in” to a restrictive diet. Now, feast your eyes on some of the yummy recipes we’ll be whipping up together.

So here are some answers!

This program is specifically designed for peri-menopausal to menopausal, approaching 40+ year old women, seeking to optimise their nutrition, lose weight, manage hormonal changes, improve mental clarity and energy levels and/or their overall health during this transitional phase. All while setting themselves up with a lifelong style of eating for optimal health.

Our program focuses on understanding and managing hormonal changes through targeted nutritional guidance and education, aiding in symptom management and overall well-being.

Yes – it is. Although when you follow our meal plans, all of the guesswork is taken out of it. There is no need for you to track calories or balance your macros – we’ve done it all for you.

The daily average calorie goal of approximately 1500-1600 calories is established based on an average requirement for peri-menopausal women, aiming for weight maintenance or gradual, healthy weight loss.

For more active women and those regularly training, we will discuss ways during our workshops, around how you might customise your calorie intake on more active days.

For those who opt for changes or who decide to DIY their meal plans, you will be able to source all nutritional information to guide you and help with your customisation. However, to get the most out of the program, you will need to be mindful of the nutritional values when customising.

This program is not suitable for vegans and the options for full vegetarians are limited. While we do include vegetarian and plant based meals, a majority of our meals contain meat or fish.

Most of the recipes though are versatile and the source of protein can be interchanged depending on preference (and when using the protein conversion chart).

Most of the recipes can also be adjusted to accommodate some dietary needs, including gluten or dairy intolerance. And the notes section in each recipe will offer advice on this.

While most of our meals and recipes focus on real, whole and anti-inflammatory foods, we do not recommend this program for anyone with an existing health condition.

We strongly encourage you to consider consulting with your medical provider before proceeding with this program or making any changes to your nutrition.

Yes, the program is designed to provide help manage the often inevitable weight fluctuations commonly experienced during peri-menopause. The plan uses a combination of high protein and high fibre diet that is low in inflammatory foods and processed carbohydrates, while being controlled for overall calories.

The meal plans prioritise foods that promote satiety and provide sustained energy to help manage cravings and hunger, ensuring participants feel satisfied within the calorie parameters.

We three are objectively “big eaters” – and as such, there is no room for small meals in our kitchen, so we ensure that all meals are plentiful and satisfying. These meals are what we and our families eat too.

No tiny serves. No fuss. Just filling, tasty meals and done-for-you meal plans that will have you slimming down whilst (actually) living life.

The private FB group will be monitored week days between 9am-3pm, offering a safe and nurturing platform for participants to ask questions of each other, share experiences, and receive support and guidance from both experts (us!) and fellow participants.

Your involvement is totally up to you, although we believe the more you put in, the more you will potentially get out of the program.

The curated weekly meal plans offer a 5-day Monday to Friday breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack option, for each week of the four weeks. They also include carefully crafted recipes, interactive shopping lists, and full nutritional breakdown to support your goals and help create ease in your weekly meal preparation.

All meals are calorie controlled and some will offer alternatives for gluten or dairy intolerance.

Yes! All the ingredients used will be available in most major supermarkets and with our precise and downloadable shopping list feature, it will make it even easier to source all ingredients.

Yes indeed! Who wants to be cooking multiple meals? Not us!

While we assume breakfast and lunch will be more for you – most dinner meals and recipes are designed for the entire family, so you aren’t making multiple meals at once. We have different serving sizes depending on the recipe, however serving sizes an be adjusted easily within the recipe itself, to tailor it to the size of your family.

Absolutely!

In addition to the materials provided, participants will receive access to weekly emails, monthly live Q&A’s and online workshops containing educational content. You will also have access to our private FB group and where you will have support and guidance from Carissa, Anna & Em.

It is important to understand that given the nature of our online interactions, any advice given by Anna, Em & Carissa should be considered general advice only and is not designed to replace any prior or ongoing medical advice received.

Yes, of course and it is highly encouraged! The meal plans are designed to complement a healthy lifestyle, including regular physical activity, in particular strength training.

All participants will be given the option to join the SSH Move Studio through the duration of the program for a discounted rate.

If you had any queries or concerns about your own exercise journey, we are so happy to help guide you, in any way you need.

This will be totally up to you. The program focuses on whole foods and does not require lots of additional supplements or specific products. However, we love to have a good quality protein powder on hand to help us reach our protein macro targets and you may find this helpful too, throughout the 4 weeks.

You are most welcome to use any brand, however, there will be an option to purchase the SSH plant-based protein powder as additional protein support. A protein powder is recommended regularly through the program, particularly for those participants who are busy and / or have established a regular exercising regime.

Upon completion, participants will have access to all the resources available to them inside the program, for the lifetime of the program.

The program is also designed as a non-diet – meaning you don’t just finish and go back to the way you were before. Over the course of the 4 weeks it is hoped that you garner enough information and knowledge to make this way of eating, your way of eating, forever! That is certainly what has been our experience.

You can continue to use these recipes, meal plans and shopping lists – designing your own mealplans etc – for as long as you want.

If desired, there will also be an opportunity to continue to work with Carissa in her nutrition clinic or with Anna & Em via their Health Coaching programs.

We understand that you might feel hesitant about starting another nutrition based program and you’re unsure whether or not it will work.
