Clean green smoothie

This smoothie is power-packed with nutrients and will well and truly give you your green hit for the day. Â It is very low in fructose and is not a particularly sweet smoothie, so if you prefer it more sweet, simply add a half banana or mango. Â You could also add a generous knob of ginger, to give your smoothie a real kick and to up the anti-inflammatory stakes.
What you will need (serves 2)
3-4 stalks kale (leaves stripped off stalk)
1/4 cup fresh mint
1/2 avocado
1 lime (skin off)
1 zucchini
1/2 lebanese cucumber
1 small pear
1-2 cups ice cubes
1-2 cups cold water
1 tsp green powder (spirulina, chorally, wheatgrass etc – optional)
Method
Pop all ingredients into your high speed blender and whizz on high for 60 seconds, until beautifully smooth. Pour into your glass, drink and feel the nutrients running through your system. Want more?
