We are real-life sisters, health coaches and the founders of Soul Sister Health.
In years gone by, like a lot of women, we both struggled with our nutrition – from constant dieting and the next ‘big thing’ to disordered eating, binge/ restrict and all the guilt and shame that that bought with it. It makes us so sad to reflect on – all that wasted time and energy. Now we feel so lucky to have found a new freedom with food that we had never truly experienced before.

Who is Leaner designed for?
Leaner is for busy, motivated women aged 40+ who are navigating midlife – struggling with weight gain, low energy, and hormone change, and are ready for a better way to nourish their body. It’s for women who are done with extremes, fed up with feeling stuck, and looking for real, lasting change.
What exactly do I get access to in Leaner?

Don’t stress if this feels a little overwhelming, you also of course have us, Anna & Em, in your corner, every step of the way, and answering all you questions!
Is Leaner a calorie aware program?
Yes – it is. We do not however count calories, nor encourage you to (this only serves to creates stress around food). However if weight loss is your goal – you will need to have some awareness around calories because over-consuming calories, will make fat loss impossible. Reminder the only way to shift fat is to be taking IN slightly less energy, than you are expending (energy IN < energy OUT).
When you follow our meal plans, all of the guesswork is taken out of it. There is no need for you to track calories or balance your macros – we’ve done it all for you.
If you decide to freestyle it, being mindful around fat intake (even healthy fat) and understanding which protein sources have higher energy than others goes a long way to helping you enjoy your favourites, while also reaching your goals.
Don’t stress though – we show you how? For those who opt for changes or who decide to DIY their meal plans, you will be able to source all nutritional information to guide you and help with your customisation.
Are the recipes adaptable to dietary restrictions or preferences?
This program is not suitable for vegans and the options for full vegetarians are limited. While we do include vegetarian and plant based meals, a majority of our meals contain meat or fish.
Most of the recipes though are versatile and the source of protein can be interchanged depending on preference (and when using the protein conversion chart).
Most of the recipes can also be adjusted to accommodate some dietary needs, including gluten or dairy intolerance. And the notes section in each recipe will offer advice on this.
Is Leaner suitable for anyone with any health conditions? (i.e. diabetes, auto-immune, thyroid disease or other)
While most of our meals and recipes focus on real, whole and anti-inflammatory foods, we do not recommend this program for anyone with an existing health condition, without first consulting your regular doctor.
We strongly encourage you to consider consulting with your medical provider before proceeding with this program or making any changes to your nutrition – if you need anything from us, reach out.
Can Leaner help with weight management during peri-menopause?
Yes, the program is designed to provide help managing the often inevitable weight fluctuations commonly experienced during peri-menopause. The plan uses a combination of high protein and high fibre diet that is low in inflammatory foods and processed carbohydrates and works to control blood sugar levels, while maintaining an awareness around energy intake.
If weight loss is your goal, then timeframes will vary individual to individual. Normally, we would not expect to see any weight loss after just 3 weeks, although it is possible. If you have been in a diet/restriction cycle for most of your adult life, then your body and your metabolism will first take time to readjust to the new structure before weightless can happen.
How will the program help in managing cravings or hunger while adhering to the calorie target?
The meal plans prioritise foods that promote satiety and provide sustained energy to help manage cravings and hunger, ensuring participants feel satisfied within the calorie parameters.
We are both objectively “big eaters” – and as such, there is no room for small meals in our kitchen, so we ensure that all meals are plentiful and satisfying. We focus on “volume eating” which gives you incredible ‘bang for your buck’. These meals are what we and our families eat too.
No tiny serves. No fuss. Just filling, tasty meals and done-for-you meal plans that will have you slimming down whilst (actually) living life.
What do the weekly meal plans include?
The curated weekly meal plans offer a 5-day Monday to Friday breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack option, for each week of the four weeks. They also include carefully crafted recipes, interactive shopping lists, and full nutritional breakdown to support your goals and help create ease in your weekly meal preparation.
All meals are calorie controlled and some will offer alternatives for gluten or dairy intolerance.
Are all ingredients in the recipes easy to source?
Yes! All the ingredients used will be available in most major supermarkets and with our precise and downloadable shopping list feature, it will make it even easier to source all ingredients.
Are the meals family friendly?
Yes indeed! Who wants to be cooking multiple meals? Not us!
While we assume breakfast and lunch will be more for you – most dinner meals and recipes are designed for the entire family, so you aren’t making multiple meals at once. We have different serving sizes depending on the recipe, however serving sizes an be adjusted easily within the recipe itself, to tailor it to the size of your family.
Is there expert support or guidance included?
Absolutely!
In addition to the materials provided, participants will receive access to weekly emails for the 3 weeks and short podcast-like audios containing educational content. You will also have lifetime access to our private Telegram group and where you will have support and guidance from Anna & Em.
It is important to understand that Anna & Em are Qualified Health Coaches, not registered Nutritionists or Dieticians. So they are not able to give advice in relation to any specific health related condition, illness or intolerance. Any advice or recommendations given by Anna or Em should be considered general advice only for the general healthy population and is not designed to replace any prior or ongoing medical advice received.
Can I exercise alongside this meal plan?
Yes, of course and it is highly encouraged! The meal plans are designed to complement a healthy lifestyle, including regular physical activity, in particular strength training.

Will I lose weight in Leaner?
Ok, we know that this one is a really burning question at the bottom of it all… 😉 Interestingly (sadly), Google searches show highest results look similar to this ‘How to lose 3kg in 3 days’. This kind of approach is how we find millions of women 30 years into dieting and still completely unsatisfied with their physical form.
Leaner is not a diet – we are building the foundation of a new lifestyle around your nutrition.
Following our approach, you may lose weight in the 3 weeks together. However the reality is that our personal goal and how we have created Leaner, is for you to lose weight slowly, but consistently and in a healthy manner, week by week until you reach your healthy optimum weight. How long this takes cannot truthfully be answered here. We won’t buy into the diet culture and make you any empty promises! Email us if you want more info.
What happens after the three-week program?
Upon completion, participants will have access to all the resources available to them inside the program, for the lifetime of the program itself.
The program is also designed as a non-diet – meaning you don’t just finish and go back to the way you were before. Over the course of the 3 weeks it is hoped that you garner enough information and knowledge to make this way of eating, your way of eating, forever! That is certainly what has been our experience.
You can continue to use these recipes, meal plans and shopping lists – designing your own meal plans etc – for as long as you want.
If desired, there will also be an opportunity to continue to work with Anna & Em via their Health Coaching offerings.
What if I change my mind and decide the program is not for me?
We understand that you might feel hesitant about starting another nutrition based program and you’re unsure whether or not it will work.
