We like is simple…and simple beef burgers are a pretty regular go to for us! Homemade using locally sourced grass-fed beet mince means you don’t need much else to make these patties taste simply delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g beef mince grass-fed is possible
  • 1 carrot grated
  • 1 zucchini grated
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard or seeded mustard
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs dried
  • 1 garlic minced
  • Sea salt

To serve

  • 50 g cheese
  • 4 breadrolls
  • Opt: salad, tomatoes, pickles, coleslaw,

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl place beef mince, grated carrot, zucchini, mustard, cumin, herbs and salt.
  • Mix together well, using hands.
  • Use a large spoon to scoop out mixture and roll into patties of desired size.
  • Lay patties on a plate and pop in fridge to set (if time allows and you are cooking later). If time is short, omit this step.
  • Warm pan or BBQ to medium heat. Cook patties on both sides, until cooked through.
  • Serve with a side salad/ veggies or create an epic homemade burger with all the toppings – options are endless!

We love a burger with all of the trimmings – mustard, pickles, cheese, tomato, spinach,
Tip: Double the batch roll in to patties and freeze half uncooked for another night – we are all about bulk batch prep.
